Having fun with Kevlar today. Since a few folks asked me to make them a plenum, I decided to try Kevlar this time. Nice thing is that even
spending time with R&D I make nicer plenums than my own and sell them to folks that want one as well. After talking to a few of them and
comparing the price to what Sam James offers. I came to agreement that $350 is very fair. Nice thing is about mine is you can use them with
your factory baffling and Cowling. Cant beat that deal! No crappy bafflle seals to deal with and or leaks to worry about. They are made with
high temp Epoxy and only a few layers of glass and or Kevlar or glass and Carbon. The 4 layer glass ones are right at 2lbs. Its personal
preference as to what material and look you want. Heck you can even paint it to match your plane. Whatever floats your boat.
Price is the same. However I would think the carbon ones will be lighter. But compared to the rubber and or silicone rubber seals that most
folks use, you will be way ahead of the game and not have to worry about it chaffing and wearing your Cowling.
Just a few pics of my next Plenum experiment.

The plastic had relaxed a bit and made some very small wrinkles in the finish but it still looks OK.

It is very very light and I still need to trim it to make it look clean. Right now it weighs in at 14.0 oz. Not bad ;o)
