Since I'm almost ready to install the rear window for good. I installed the TSB Vans sent me for the channel/skin
reinforcement. You will find out right away that the 1/8" piece isn't thick enough. It needs to be at least 3/16" thick.
The Plexi is about that thick. If you installed what they send and tighten the screws down, you would not be a happy
camper. I'm sure it would totally screw up the skin and make it point for the sky where it is suppose to lay flush on the
Plexi.
I marked lines to match the channel and drill matched the holes.

I didn't have a piece 3/16" thick so I just added the extra 1/16" plate it needed.

I also have a good overlap between the skin and Plexi so I notched the window to accommodate the installed plates.

I countersunk the 1/8' piece.

I then used the screws and washers and nuts to dimple.

I sure do like these little aluminum screws. Some local guys suggested I add Teflon washers under the screws.
