Today I was going to add all the reinforcement underneath the frame. The first piece I was going to work with
had me baffled for a moment. This was a pre-bent part. What's wrong with this picture?
Called Vans and ordered a new one.

I tried wood to bend the hole flanges like the plans show but that didn't work worth a flip. So I used a couple pieces
of Delrin and it worked magically. This is the thicker piece I used for the rivet flanges.

I drew my center line on the frame flange and drilled the attach holes in the flange and the skin at the same time.
If you look closely you can see my first attempt at the hole flanges using wood look like I beat them out with a rock.
Good thing these will all be painted with my Dark Bronze Hammered look paint. No pun intended.

Here's the smaller block I used for the hole flanges. It worked like a dream.

The holes look very nice.

So do the rivet flanges.
