Today was going to be the Carbon Plenum Marathon.  I measured and drilled these strips that will be used to clamp the edges of

all the layers of glass and carbon when put into place.  This will assure that the edges will lay flat and seal properly when screwed

into place.  Each cleco represents a screw hole.  All these strips were wrapped with packing tape so that they could be removed after

everything has cured.

Time to start making the pretty....I trimmed my mold shell back so that it overhung the edge slightly and held it in place using 1 cleco on each

corner.  We then laid the first layer down draping it on the center and letting it follow the shape itself.  Then poked a hole in the wet layer of glass

to place each cleco back into place.

Yes again, I begged Jim to come and assist me with the lengthy process.  Have no fear I'll return the favor when he's at this point.

Heres the second layer of glass.

Heres the first layer of the carbon.

Then the last layer of carbon.  I then installed all of the strips and clecos.

Its 10:30pm  time to get some sleep and see if Santa Claus brings me something overnight...  ;o)
