Drilled all the cable holes.  Now this is something I wish I could have done before I mounted the engine.  I could do it later when I

remove the engine again. Yes, I know I'm crazy.  I will probably be the only person who has completely installed the engine and then

removed it from the airframe.  Have no fear, it will be pretty modular and I'll be removing it along with the mount attached.  I plan on

painting the entire plane before first flight.  The Rotating RV stand will make this a easy top notch job.

I will be using grommet shields on all my cable holes and as you can see here I moved the hole down and to the left for the Carb heat.

You cant tell but I also moved the Mixture hole to the right 1/8".

After I drilled all 3 holes I installed the flooring cover and cable cover in order to mark the holes where the cables will pass through.

I made a yoke to use on these shields.  It was just way too hard to install plate nuts directly to the firewall at this point by myself.  I must

make progress!!  One more reason to have done this crap BEFORE the Fuselage came off the rotating stand.  But I would not have known

where to put my cables exactly without installing the engine first.  Im glad I did!

I also sized the shields down a bit so they would clear each other better.  Note the cables must pass through the flooring cover before they

go through the firewall!!!!

I made another yoke for the carb heat cable shields.

Since there was no freakin way to get a screwdriver on the Carb Heat shield I attached the plate nuts to the shield itself and the screws will

go in from the inside the cabin.

Here is a shot from inside the cabin.

Taking a photo of all this is next to impossible to do to give a good view of how it all lines up, but it does quite well.
